You may have noticed that some Zlionauts are ahead of the game in shop customization.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a programmer to add images, photos, and graphics to your Zlioshop, all you need to know is how to cut and paste.

First, check out some of the free image hosting options like Flickr or Photobucket. These sites will host your image on their online server for free. Once you have uploaded an image that you like, a choice of codes will appear next to it.

Now, you can simply copy and paste the “HTML CODE” but if visitors click on the image, it will link back to Flickr or Photobucket. If you want to remove this link, copy the code marked “DIRECT LINK” and insert it into the url space of this code:

<img src=”your_url_here”>

If you would like the image to be centered, just add <center></center> on either side of the image code, like this:

<center><img src=”your_url_here”></center>

You can paste your html image code in several places on your Zlioshop:

  • In the header section to create a custom header (found under “Store Display”)
  • In the footer section to create a custom footer (also found under “Store Display”)
  • In the store description: the image will appear at the top of the page, just above your first line of products. (found under “Store Identity”)
  • In the store freetext: the image will appear at the bottom of the page, just below your last line of products. (also found under “Store Identity”)

See? Now that wasn’t so hard, was it? If you’re having difficulty, feel free to ask in a comment!

I tried the direct link code. I typed from photobucket, I placed it store description and it did not work.

    Hi David,

You need to insert the direct link code into the IMG code that we provided in the post.
Then copy and paste the entire url (including the http) in between the quotes where we have marked “your url here” as an example.

If this seems too difficult, go ahead and copy the photobucket HTML code, but keep in mind that your photo will then link back to photobucket if a user clicks on it.

Please let us know if you have any more questions,

ok i think i understand this now, that code is for single pictures. would you have a code for a slide show? that was my problem , i tried the code for a slide show and that didtnt work . thanks

  4. wordpress dit :

    Hi David,

Codes for slideshows are a little more difficult, and normally require html and javascript. However there are several websites that will host your photos and create a free slide show for you. Try http://www.slide.com/ or http://www.rockyou.com/

    Hope this helps!

Hey thank you very much on your info. I checked out both sites and slide.com didnt work, but rockyou did. I hope I boosted my website’s image. Thanks again,,,have a great day

There should be fact sheet that goes with each template to show how big the area is that you which to place your image. Headers on each template differ in height and length. Other areas are a specific size and if your image is too large it will be squished into that area ruining the look of your image.

Maybe the problem is that I am trying to use my own picture. Anyway, will try again with your directions.
    thanks,

PS: A while back I saw an offer to put my store on line. It asked if I thought my store was ready. Now I cannot find it to put my store on line. Help!

  8. Cindy dit :

Why not make it easier and let up UPLOAD pics? HTML is more confusing then it needs to be.

  9. wordpress dit :

    Cindy,

There are already many websites that host photos for free. If the html to add an image seems complicated, imagine the code involved in turning Zlio into an image hosting site! You can already upload a photo to your Zlioshop, it appears on the left hand side… if you want to add more images after that you’ll need to host them elsewhere.

Best of luck with your html!
