Zlio France recently organized a Movie Clip contest in which Zlionauts were asked to put a Video Camera in their hands and to create short Advertisement Clips about Zlio.

The amazing outcome of this Viral Video Contest is now being displayed on the Video Sharing Website www.Eyeka.com. Take a look for yourself, and be inspired by the outpouring of creativity displayed by French Zlionauts.

The Clips are in French, of course, but some of their creators have put in some extra effort and translated their work into English, as well.

Zlio Shop “For Whom The Bells Toll” (http://anniversary.zlio.net) has been announced the official winner of this year’s Wedding Season Contest, which took place from June 3rd to June 18th, 2008 !

With 140 total votes, Zlionaut Zizzi Le Corre is the lucky winner of a

6 Megapixel HP Photosmart Digital Camera and Printer.

Zlio’s annual Wedding Season Contest called upon Zlio Shop owners to create Shops around a “Wedding Theme”. Zlionauts could have either sold Bridal- and Wedding related products in their Shops, or they could have used their Shop as a Bridal Registry.

Contestants were asked to let their imagination roam and to design beautiful, interesting and attractive Shops.

What did we like about Zizzi Le Corre’s Shop “For Whom The Bell Tolls” ?

• The idea of the Shop is superb! We just loved that she created a store for “the first ten years of marriage” … why just concentrate on the Wedding, when you can celebrate ten whole years of togetherness?
• The Shop Design really spoke to us: we loved the cursive font used in the caption and we adored the interplay of the mellow colors used.
• Zizzi really got into things when she added products to her Shop. Every single category is filled to the brim with products that fit perfectly into the contest’s theme.

Congratulations to the winner … we are sure she will really enjoy her prize!

For those of you who were wondering what the problem was, don’t worry!

To give everyone a fair chance at winning that digital camera and printer, the contest dates will be extended:

• Voting is now open until June 23
• The winner will now be announced on June 24

Love where you’re from? Promote your hometown by getting your Zlioshop in tip top local shape. This is your chance to show what shines in your neck of the woods – culture, food, festivals, monuments – whatever you think best reps your local flavor.

Tell us a little about your area, and don’t forget to include some fun facts and figures… or even a few anecdotes! Here’s an interesting example: Did you know that there are 4 cities in the US actually named “Hometown?” That’s right, Illinois, Pennsylvania, West Virgina, and Missouri are all “home” to a “Hometown.”

Submission Criteria:

• One Zlioshop per person
• Older Zlioshops can be entered as long as they have been updated within 24 hours and contain NO EXPIRED PRODUCTS
• Zlioshops entered into the contest must have a theme for one location, and one location only
• Customization and personalization are greatly appreciated
• Categories and Subcategories should reflect an easy navigation
• Category and Subcategory titles should be well thought out
• Shoot for original products – surprise us!
• And last but certainly not least, all Zlioshops should follow the standard Zlio guidelines.

Contest Schedule:

1. Submit you Zlioshops between April 15 – 26
2. From April 16 – 27, vote for your favorites
3. On April 28th the Zlio Team will select a winner from the community’s top 10 list
4. The winner will be announced on the blog on April 29th!

Unleash the pride within!

Zlio is holding an Easter contest this year and the theme is: Chocolate.

You’ve got from March 17 – 27 to deck your Zlioshop in chocolate however you see fit. Milk, dark, white, hot, cold… It’s totally up to you as long as you stay within the delicious realm of chocolate:

• The color and theme of your Zlioshop are important, but other elements will also be considered to pick a winner.
• Personalize your store with a thoughtful introduction: We prefer Zlioshops with “human” qualities and originality.
• Choose images or illustrations that reflect the theme and your personal taste or style.
• Think about original layouts and unique categories – don’t forget to organize with subcategories!

Submit your Zlioshop to the category list, once you are sure that you have followed the contest directions. From March 17 to 27, vote for your favorites! On March 28 the top 10 Zlioshops will be selected and reviewed by the Zlio Team.
